Eve Brook Foundation: Study Grants for Children in Care
In 2023, the Eve Brook Scholarship Fund celebrates 25 years of helping Birmingham care-leavers to go to University. During that time, they have spent £425,945 supporting 283 young people in Higher Education.
We had the pleasure of working with the brilliant playwright David Edgar, as well as the fab team at Birmingham Children’s Trust, to create this short documentary. The film was created to educate and inspire young people who may be in need of the fund, and to celebrate the quarter of a century of incredible work in Birmingham!
When David approached us to create this film, we were over the moon. What a brilliant cause, and what inspiring people! We knew this film had to be very special.
And so, our Motion Graphics and Production Teams came together to create something that is equal parts informative and engaging – with emphasis on the personal – to increase both donations and applications to the trust.
Working with Musa, Kerry, Rennae and Nathanael was an abolute joy. Not to mention David Edgar and Baronness Helena Kennedy KC, who both had wonderful stories to tell.
The crew had two lovely days filming around Birmingham and London, where we got to hear the stories of each person in and around their homes and places of work. Our particular highlight was getting to spend an evening at Colour Factory in Hackney Wick!
