Ted Baker: Store Opening Celebration
TINKER TAYLOR produced a beautiful short film to celebrate the opening of the new Ted Baker store in Birmingham’s Bullring.
When Ted Baker announced they needed a video to promote their new store in Birmingham Bullring, our corporate video production agency, Tinker Taylor, were the perfect fit to show off their new site.
Ted Baker is one of the fastest-growing leading lifestyle brands in the UK, and has a portfolio of stores in UK and USA and in many leading department stores. We wanted to speak to their already established brand, by taking into consideration their branding and the impact this new store would have in one of Birminghams top shopping destinations
The main objectives were to:
* To raise awareness of their new store and it’s location.
* Create a video showing their opening event with a consistent relation to their branding.
* To increase their new store purchases.
* To be campaign-able, so to be able to be used across channels.
Our corporate video production agency was able to plot out a video that would cover all objectives, and impress their potential customers.
Our first call of action was to capture timeless video footage of the store and it’s products.
The great thing about filming this location was that it perfectly mixed mechanical and modern aesthetics.
As the store is based in the Birmingham Bullring, we thought it was important to showcase these features based on the cities proud industrial heritage, as well as the companies own personal branding. The shop even referred to itself as a “fun-filled factory of fashion”.
Ted Baker offers a wide range of collections including: Menswear, Womenswear, Global, Endurance, Pashion, Langley, Accessories, Fragrance, Skinwear, Footwear, Eyewear and Watches, so we thought it was important that our video production agency captured shots of their collections and their availability in the store.
The store opening had many activities that those who visited could take part in including; a ‘Clock on to Ted’ where customers could fill in a form to ‘clock in’ to the store and in return get a free gift, and the shop was also giving away leather bound notebooks, which were personalised at Ted’s in-store embossing station.
By filming the activities, such as the one mentioned, we were showing a side of the brand as Ted Baker pushes their quirky sense of humour.
Our video marketing agency thought this would be an amazing opportunity to show the customers faces as this adds an element of human connection for those watching online, and creates a tone for the event video if the customers are seen to be happy and enjoying themselves.
The end product is a stylish events video that seamlessly shows their products, the store, and encapsulates their brand tone of voice.
