#WeAreYou Stormont Launch

Their uniform may be intimidating to some, but the men and women wearing it are just people, the same as you and I. As parents, husbands, wives, sons and daughters, they share the same hopes and fears as everyone else. The #WeAreYou campaign aims to inspire a bond between officers and ‘mums on the playground’. With a focus on family, we want to begin to bridge the chasm between police officers and the public they serve.
This campaign will be driven by three hard-hitting films, the first of which- #WeAreFathers- can be seen below.

Each film in the campaign shares a common concept: to parallel an officer’s life on duty with their family life. This simultaneously shows not only what they  encounter every day in their uniform, but also that outside of it  they are the same as us. It is the officers themselves saying:

“ We aren’t just the uniform, we are you. ”

Following the launch at Stormont today, the films will make a big splash on social media, as well as launch in cinemas across Northern Ireland.   TINKER TAYLOR will also be holding a local launch for the campaign next Thursday at Birmingham’s  Electric Cinema.

This is, without doubt, our biggest challenge to date. We hope that you will share the films and support the campaign. To watch the films and find out more, please visit http://weareyou.org.uk.
