Aston University – Impact on the Region Video Campaign
Tinker Taylor has partnered with Aston University on over 20 films in recent years, each designed to inspire prospective students by showcasing Aston’s diverse study programs. Our favourite project to date is Impact on the Region—a film aimed at celebrating Aston alumni who embody the university’s values and have applied their skills to drive positive change within their communities and beyond.
Impact on the Region was filmed in a docu-drama style to capture a true-to-life portrayal of three inspiring Aston graduates. Following them through their daily work, the film combines emotive soundbites with cinematic visuals, showcasing each alumnus’s commitment to meaningful, positive change. By documenting their real-life challenges and moments of success, we highlighted the determination and passion that drive them toward their goals, creating a compelling, genuine narrative.
Impact on the Region was met with great enthusiasm. Premiered at Aston’s annual Charter Dinner, the film was praised by the Chancellor, Pro-Chancellor, Executive Dean, and Executive Director of Organisational Development. To further Aston’s reach, we designed a custom video book for Aston to share with key stakeholders, providing a memorable, tactile way to celebrate their inspiring alumni and extend the impact of this film.
We’re excited to see Impact on the Region continue to inspire future entrepreneurs to pursue positive change within the West Midlands and attract students to a university celebrated for fostering creativity and innovation.
We love to work with purpose-driven organisations and people who share our ambition to drive positive change. It’s why we are filmmakers: to inspire, educate, and motivate audiences. We are master collaborators and solution-driven. Beyond purpose, our videos make an impact. Every—single—time.
