‘Believe in Blue’ is a series of innovative, award-winning short films aiming to challenge and change perceptions of policing in England and Wales.

The ad was featured on 515 cinema screens across England and Wales, reaching over 2 million viewers.

Brief

TINKER TAYLOR was commissioned by the Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW) to produce a series of four short films aimed at challenging perceptions of policing across England and Wales.

Creative

To meet the bold intentions of this campaign, we crafted an equally daring approach. We designed four compelling scenarios that vividly demonstrate the crucial role of police work in combating crime and serving the community.

We employed the state-of-the-art ‘time slice’ technique, combining motion control, precise art direction, and seamless CGI to create the illusion of a moment frozen in time. This innovative approach allowed viewers to explore and engage with the complexities of policing in a visually striking and unforgettable way.

Results

The campaign captured the attention of over 1.5 million people through the ‘Believe in Blue’ Facebook and Twitter pages. It was featured on 515 cinema screens across England and Wales for more than six months, reaching over 2 million viewers.

The ad also won multiple awards, including a Gold at the Fresh Awards in Moving Images & a Silver at the Drum for TV/Cinema ads.
