We’ve worked with Historic England across a growing range of projects, each with its own story to tell. We’ve explored the potential of England’s beautiful, empty historic buildings as new homes, we’ve celebrated the unveiling of a Blue Plaque for Frank Soo – the first player of East Asian heritage to represent England at international level – and we’ve documented the restoration of the iconic Golden Lion pub in Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham.
Across every project, the brief is ultimately the same: help people connect with the remarkable history that exists all around them.
With a fair whack of our team being self-confessed history & architecture lovers, we genuinely love getting under the skin of each project.
Research comes first. We take the time to understand the buildings, people and places we’re filming, before finding the right archive material to bring those stories to life. For the Heritage and Housing project, that meant delving into the history and character of Ancoats and Nottingham’s Bridlesmith Gate, as well as the buildings themselves.
Our approach changes with every story, but the care and attention remains the same. Whatever the format, we aim to make history feel relevant, engaging and alive.
These projects are helping Historic England expand its video content and share the extraordinary stories hidden within England’s buildings, streets and communities.
By combining thoughtful research, personal storytelling and deep-dived archive, we’re helping bring heritage to new audiences, and showing just how much history there is to discover on our doorstep.
