Ensuring everyone had the right information after receiving their COVID-19 vaccine was crucial in protecting communities. Our campaign for NHS England focused on delivering clear, accessible messaging in multiple formats and languages, making vital post-vaccination guidance easy to understand and widely available.

Brief

Commissioned as a ‘medical intervention’ at the behest of Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Jonathan Van-Tam, NHS England tasked TINKER TAYLOR with creating a comprehensive suite of assets for the ‘After the Vaccine’ campaign. The goal was to ensure that critical post-vaccination information reached diverse communities in an engaging and accessible way. It was designed to tackle a change in behaviours post-vaccination and ultimately to save lives. The entire project was delivered in just 4 weeks, from initial brief to final delivery.

Creative

We delivered a bright, engaging animation, translated into 16 languages, along with a full suite of print materials, including posters, patient leaflets, and staff training guides. Each asset was designed with inclusivity in mind, featuring clear messaging, QR codes for easy digital access, and accessible formatting.

Results

The ‘After the Vaccine’ campaign quickly became a trusted resource for communities across the UK, praised by NHS leaders, including Deputy Chief Nursing Officer Mark Radford, for its clarity and effectiveness. With the animation translated into 16 languages, the campaign reached a broad, diverse audience, making vital post-vaccination information easily accessible to people of all backgrounds.

The print materials, featuring QR codes linking to the animation, were widely distributed in waiting rooms and through patient leaflets, reinforcing public safety messages. The rapid 4-week turnaround ensured that the campaign was deployed at a critical time, directly supporting efforts to maintain public health and promote safe behaviour following vaccination. The campaign was instrumental in shaping post-vaccination behaviour and played a key role in saving lives through its clear, impactful communication.
