Our third campaign for BES Limited continues our successful advertising promos, which started in 2021. BES, a leading supplier to the plumbing and heating industry, wanted a video campaign that would communicate their promise of next-day delivery in a fun, relatable way. The aim was to reach tradespeople and show how BES could help them out of tight spots when time is against them. They needed an engaging video series that would resonate deeply with their audience, adding humour and impact to a straightforward but crucial service promise: the 9 pm cut-off for next-day delivery.

We developed ‘The Boss’ Call’ concept, bringing to life the moments of panic every tradesperson has experienced – those times when they’ve forgotten a vital part. The creative approach focused on humour and relatability, crafting a series of scenarios that every tradesperson can relate to. From the pub to the gym and even at a football match, the videos captured that moment of realisation when ‘The Boss’ calls, and BES becomes the story’s hero.

Additionally, we incorporated the infamous dolly zoom effect. A dolly zoom is an in-camera technique that creates a visual illusion, adding an intriguing element to our videos.

With sharp dialogue, dynamic settings, and relatable characters, the videos underscored BES’s unwavering commitment to being there for tradespeople, and ensuring they get what they need—right when they need it. The unique combination of light-hearted panic and reliable delivery reinforced BES’s dedication to supporting the industry’s daily challenges, building trust and credibility among it’s audience.

The video campaign achieved 134,805 full video views (100% completion) within the first month of its launch. Additionally, the video ads have driven a 17% increase in Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) and a 46% increase in website revenue compared to the client’s previous month’s performance. Wow!!
